My wife was flying back home from Belgrade and had to get there at the end of our stay in Tirana. Using her brother’s Miles & More family account, and benefiting from the dynamic pricing for flights on the Lufthansa Group with Miles & More, I was able to get a great deal for her to fly back to Serbia from Albania via Austria in Business Class for 12,096 miles. The miles required for Economy Class on ITA Airways were actually more than the miles required for Business Class on Austrian Airlines. The Business Class ticket also included a checked baggage allowance. I’m guessing we’ll start seeing dynamic pricing for ITA Airways soon as it gets fully integrated into the Lufthansa Group and the Miles & More program.

This non-refundable award ticket had to be abandoned because my wife’s wallet and passport were stolen in Belgrade. The rest of our trip was completely derailed, and we never made it to Albania for her return flight.
